Vice-President Jyrki Katainen in Finland for Citizens’ Dialogue on the future of EU and circular economy visits
Jyrki Katainen, Vice-President for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness, is in Lahti, Finland, today to discuss the circular economy, the future of the EU and the upcoming
European elections. In the morning he will visit Lahti Energy where he will discuss renewable and environment-friendly energy production. The Vice-President will also visit the Lahti University of
Applied Sciences campus to get acquainted with projects related to circular economy. Hewill then attend a working lunch with the Regional Council of Päijät-Häme. In the afternoon, he will visit
local businesses that create solutions to reuse waste energy. The day will finish with a Citizens’ Dialogue together with Finnish Minister of Education Sanni Grahn-Laasonen and others on the
future of the EU and the European elections.
