Venice, 27 June 2024 – Delta will extend its nonstop flight between Venice and New York-JFK until the first week of 2025, before resuming the connection in March with the new summer schedule. The American carrier’s decision to extend its operations beyond the 2024 summer peak season will offer passengers a nonstop flight to New York and more options to continue their journey in the US with more than 75 connecting flights via the New York-JFK hub.
We are very happy to extend our connection to New York from Venice, a key airport in Italy serving the strategic North-East area.– said Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India – Venice is a popular destination for Americans in Europe, while New York remains an extremely popular and iconic city for Italians.
The extension of the Venice-New York connection to the winter season represents a strategic turning point for the airport and its catchment area, – said Camillo Bozzolo, SAVE Group Aviation Sales Director. – Among all the airlines flying to North America from Venice, Delta Air Lines is the first to seize once again the seasonal adjustment of demand, thus returning to its original operations, introducing a new travel experience that allows passengers to reach New York or the tourist attractions of our territory such as, among the many, the Dolomites in the winter period.
Delta operates the flight from Venice to New York-JFK using a 211-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft, featuring Delta One service classes with fully reclining seats, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin. All passengers can choose from a variety of food and beverage options, including carefully curated menus, specialty snacks and premium beer, wine and spirits choices. Passengers also enjoy a wide choice of entertainment options on board.
Delta’s outstanding operational performance, commitment to safety, and premium customer service earned it the title of Airline of the Year 2024 by Air Transport World. The carrier also ranked 11th on Fortune’s 50 Most Admired Companies 2024 list and is America’s most awarded airline. Delta continues to develop its premium service offering, and this June opened a new premium lounge at New York-JFK with an exceptional level of hospitality and service. In addition, by the end of 2024, fast and free wi-fi will be available on all transatlantic routes, in all classes of service. Currently, free messaging (Whatsapp, Messenger and SMS) is available for all passengers on Delta’s transatlantic flights.
